For medium-weight knits (polo shirts) and stretchy fabrics
Embroidering on polos and other stretch-infused fabrics can lead to distortion—iron-on nonwoven stabilizer is essential. Once heat-pressed, it adds firmness and stability to medium-weight knits, preventing fabric distortion during stitching.
The bonded nonwoven backing remains in place throughout embroidery, maintaining a smooth surface. After stitching, simply tear away the excess to reveal a crisp, professional finish.
- Strongly recommended for stretch fabrics to prevent puckering
- Enhances firmness on knit materials with elastane
- Prevents fabric distortion during high-density embroidery
- Leaves a sturdy backing for long-term stability
Processing Recommendations
- Heat-press the nonwoven onto the base fabric as instructed.
- Hoop the fabric (with nonwoven attached) in an embroidery hoop.
- Embroider the design normally.
- Remove the hoop and carefully tear away the excess nonwoven.
