TWILLY & CANVAY Base Fabric Guide

Choosing the right backing fabric ensures your logos, emblems, and patches stay crisp and durable. Denim and heavy fabrics benefit from the structured strength of a twill weave (TWILLY series), while T-shirts and delicate materials call for the softer hand of a plain weave (CANVAY series).

Each line offers a “Soft” variant bonded with a thinner nonwoven layer for extra flexibility: TWILLY SOFT and CANVAY SOFT deliver all the stability with a gentler touch.

TWILLY – Firm twill base for standard patches
TWILLY SOFT – Soft twill for gentle, flexible patches
CANVAY – Plain weave for fine lettering and detail
CANVAY SOFT – Soft plain weave perfect for delicate fabrics

Note: CANVAY and CANVAY SOFT are 100% polyester—fully printable and ideal for sublimation.
